G4- Journey into Native American History

East Lake fourth graders took an in-house trip to learn about the history and lifestyles of Native American Indians. "Journeys into American Indian Territory" immersed our students in the ways of life of Native Americans, both past and present, with hands-on activities reflecting the depth of traditions and histories. The students participated in activities such as creating pottery, storytelling, playing Native American games, singing and dancing, and learning history from a Native American perspective. They also learned about the form of American Indian government. These specific activities captured our students' attention and imagination, providing a learning experience they will never forget!
