To Our Massapequa Family,
As summer approaches, I’m filled with deep gratitude for all we’ve shared this year. Over the last few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of joining many of you—cheering at championship games, celebrating at concerts and field days, honoring milestones at moving-up ceremonies, and rejoicing at graduations. Each of these moments has been a powerful reminder that Massapequa is more than a district—it’s a family.
Last Friday, I had the extraordinary honor of addressing the Class of 2025. Their resilience, leadership, and compassion have left a lasting legacy. I spoke to them not just as a superintendent, but as someone who has watched them grow with pride. Their journey—marked by strength, humility, and unwavering resolve—has inspired us all.
This year has tested us in ways we never could have imagined. We’ve faced profound heartbreak and adversity—moments that shook us to our core. And yet, in those moments, I always saw the very best of Massapequa. I saw our students holding each other up. I saw faculty and staff going above and beyond for our students. I saw families and neighbors leaning in and never letting go. I saw what it means to be a community—not just in name, but in action.
To our incredible faculty and staff—thank you for your tireless dedication and for the care you pour into each day. To our students—thank you for your courage, your energy, and your hope. And to our families—thank you for your partnership, your trust, and your belief in all that we do.
As we close out the year, we’ve captured some of its most meaningful moments in our end-of-year video: www.youtube.com/massapequaps. It’s a joyful tribute to the spirit of Massapequa.
Though the school year ends, the work continues. Summer brings fresh opportunities to learn, grow, and connect—because Massapequa never stops. We learn. We lead. We rise—together. Wishing you and your family a summer filled with laughter, rest, and renewal. Thank you for all you’ve done to make this year so meaningful.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Dr. William Brennan
Superintendent of Schools
