School-age child care positions are available now:

• Locations: Birch Lane, East Lake, Fairfield, Lockhart, McKenna and Unqua Schools

• Open Positions: Site Director, Group Leader, Assistant Teacher

The Great South Bay YMCA, in partnership with the Massapequa School District, is pleased to provide a New York State-licensed Before and After School Child Care Program.

• The programs are available for children in grades K-5 with site locations at each elementary school. 

• The program provides a safe and caring environment for school-age children of working parents. 

• Supervision is provided by the YMCA professional staff members.

• The YMCA offers a wide variety of daily activities including: arts & crafts, sports, field trips, special events, cooking, homework time, snack time and much, much more.

• There is a 3-day and a 5-day option.

• Hours before school: 7:00 AM.

• Hours after school: Dismissal - 6:00 PM.

Registration for the 2024-2025 YMCA SACC Program ended on Friday, February 2, 2024.

• Any current family that has an incoming Kindergartner is grandfathered in and may register when the sibling registers.

• You may only register for the days that your current child is enrolled in for the current school year.

• If you need to make any changes or add days, please indicate that on the registration form where asked.

• If you do not receive an email with the registration forms, please email the YMCA School Program and someone will respond back with the registration forms.

• All registration forms are to be submitted by email to the YMCA School Program.

• We will not accept any registration forms hand-delivered to the site directors or emailed to the directors of the program. 

YMCA SACC eliminated the lottery process and is now accepting requests from new families on a first come, first serve basis.

• Here you will find the inquiry form that is to be filled out.

• Once the YMCA receives all requests, a confirmation email will go out letting you know that we received your request.

• This request does not guarantee a spot. Our goal is to serve as many families as possible in the program. 

• Based on availability at sites, we will award space in the program where space is available.

• We will notify everyone with an answer.
