The English Language Arts Department is dedicated to fostering student success by providing a solid academic foundation and maximizing intellectual potential in each individual within a nurturing yet academically challenging environment. Our mission is to develop a life-long appreciation of the written word and to provide students with the critical reading, writing, listening, and communication skills to be successful, productive, and caring members of our global society.

Our district is committed to providing a high-quality education to all students. We take pride in our literacy program that prepares students for success in college, career, and life. We offer a comprehensive curriculum in English Language Arts (ELA) from Kindergarten through 12th grade that is aligned with NYS ELA Next Generation Standards and designed to meet the needs of all learners.
