School-to-Career Coordinator Denise DeLury is passionate about teaching and devotes considerable time and energy improving her teaching through both self-reflection and assessing students’ opinions of her classes and course content. She is an energetic and motivational classroom instructor. Ms. DeLury has many students in the business department commit to leadership challenges by planning events such as Biz Ed Day, Adelphi Apprentice, FedEx Leadership Contest, High School Heros and Pathway to Nursing, in addition to planning the annual Career Fair.
Ms. DeLury never works for awards or accolades, but simply inspires and influences all those she comes in contact with each day. She believes in the potential of every student and will do everything in her power to help students succeed, including teaching themhow to manage their time and behavior effectively to achieve their career goals.
Ms. DeLury remains current with the latest instructional strategies and technologies because of professional development experiences she has pursued and mastered. Her teaching methods are diversified which is appealing to different learners.
