Unqua Elementary School’s Best Buddies club hosted a Winter Wonderland event on Jan. 24 with two kindergarten classes. Students in fourth and fifth grades worked together with their kindergarten buddies to make photo frames. They were able to put their photograph of their buddy and themselves in the frame which was covered in winter stickers.
Together, the students enjoyed snacks and dancing to various songs such as the “Penguin Dance.” This is the second event that Best Buddies have hosted this school year, and they look forward to more events in the spring. These inclusive events allow the students to work collaboratively and form long-lasting friendships. Best Buddies is advised by Saranna Cerullo and Kimberly Salerno.
