Alfred G. Berner Middle School serves over 1600 sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. Working together with students, parents and the larger school community, we strive to maximize each student’s potential through an educational program that stresses personal achievement in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Our mission is to provide all students with a positive and challenging learning environment that empowers them to become responsible and productive citizens of the world.
Berner Middle School offers a wide variety of academic and co-curricular opportunities that include clubs, intramural sports, and interscholastic sports teams. Students are encouraged to take part in school activities so that they may meet people, make friends, and gain a sense of pride in their school community.
By developing critical thinking and problem solving skills, communicated through literacy, fine arts, mathematics, technology and the sciences, we seek to be responsive to changes in the family, community and the world. Working in a partnership, the students, staff, parents, and community commit themselves to developing the academic, emotional, physical and social well-being of all children.
