McKenna Elementary School provides a challenging and supportive academic program for approximately 500 general and special education students in kindergarten through grade five. The faculty at McKenna Elementary School works closely with students in many areas to instill in them a lifelong desire to learn.

McKenna teachers and staff are involved in several educational initiatives dedicated to promoting creative and critical thinking and to achieve grade level proficiency in reading, mathematics and English Language Arts. In addition to the strong support programs dedicated to assisting students in need, there is also a renowned Magnet program which provides students with an opportunity to explore subjects beyond the scope of the standard curriculum.

In addition, with help from the school's very active PTA, students are involved in numerous academic, social, and cultural programs, as well as family-oriented events and activities throughout the school year.
