At Fairfield Elementary School, character education is woven into the fabric of our daily activities and interactions. Through carefully selected children’s literature and mentor texts, we introduce and reinforce essential themes such as, bucket filling, self regulation, growth mindset, relationships, respect and kindness, and perspective. Each school year, we focus on a central theme that guides our activities and discussions, fostering a cohesive and supportive learning environment. 

Every September, our students and staff come together to sign Fairfield’s Respect and Kindness Pledge, symbolizing our collective commitment to making others feel seen and valued. This pledge, represented by small paw prints, serves as a daily reminder of our dedication to respect and kindness. At Fairfield, we believe that character leaves a lasting mark on others and the world. To celebrate and encourage these values, we recognize students monthly for their acts of respect and kindness, proudly displaying their names on our Respect and Kindness Recognition Board.
