Summer Programs Overview

The district offers a variety of engaging summer programs for students of different age groups and interests. Registration for most camps is handled through ArbiterSports (formerly FamilyID), with payments processed via MySchoolBucks, except for Camp Invention which uses a its own registration system. Since these programs are contingent on the school budget passing, registration will after the school budget vote. Details for each program will be posted in April and May.

Summer Program Options

Summer Fine Arts Camps

Summer Fine Arts 2026 Dates: Monday, July 6, through Friday, August 7, 2026. The online application process will begin in March. All additional information will be posted as it becomes available.

  • Includes Music, Musical Theater, and Visual Arts.

  • Registration via ArbiterSports.

  • Payment through MySchoolBucks.

  • Student assistant and college assistant positions are available.

Summer Recreation Program

Summer Recreation 2026 Dates: Tuesday, June 30, through Friday, July 31, 2026. Summer Recreation will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance for the Fourth of July. 

  • Offers recreational activities for students.

  • Registration via ArbiterSports.

  • Payment through MySchoolBucks.

  • Opportunities for student leaders, volunteers, and college assistants.

Summer Recreation Positions

Summer Robotics Camps

  • Lego Robotics Camp (Grades 6–9):

    • Focuses on designing, building, and programming Lego robots, with a mock competition.

    • Registration and payment via ArbiterSports.

  • VEX Robotics Camp (Grades 10–12):

    • Prepares students for robotics competitions using VEX robots.

    • Registration via a dedicated form.

    • Payment by mail-in check.

Summer Sports Camps

  • Various sports camps for different age groups.

  • Participants must be residents of the Massapequa School District.

  • Registration via ArbiterSports.

Camp Invention

  • A STEM-focused camp for students entering Grades 1–6.

  • Activities include designing games, solving global challenges, and prototyping.

  • Registration through the Camp Invention website.

  • Payment details and multi-discount options available.

Under the Lights Basketball

  • Recreational basketball games for students entering Grades 4–7.

  • Students form their own teams.

  • Registration and payment handled exclusively through MySchoolBucks.

  • Team captains are responsible for registering and paying for their teams.

  • Teams must consist of students in the same grade, with 8–12 players per team.
